Inspired by the works of Ann Weber\, learn how to manipulate strips of cardboard into sturdy dynamic structures. All materials will be provided. Bring your creativity! \n  \nJan Dylewski \nJan Dylewski has been active in the local arts community for many years and is currently a visual arts teacher at City Honors School. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia as well as graduate studies at SUNY Buffalo State University. While her personal work pairs whimsy and design\, her passion is art education. Celebrate the season’s growth and life around you with vibrant colors and unique shapes while designing your personal composition. Find creativity and blossoming expression within Burchfield’s unique perspective on flowers\, plants\, birds\, insects\, and weather. You might even paint the feeling of trilling insects vibrating the air\, blowing wind\, or splashing warm summer rain. \nJennifer Koury\nJennifer Koury is a Buffalo-based artist\, freelance illustrator\, and arts educator. She instructs for The Roycroft Campus\, Springville Center for the Arts\, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center’s International Center for Watercolor. Jennifer has taught a weekly series of watercolor workshops inspired by Suddenly I Awoke: The Dream Journals of Charles E. Burchfield. Meibohm Fine Arts\, East Aurora\, NY represent her. In 2022\, her works were featured in Luminance\, a four-person watercolor exhibit at Meibohm Fine Arts. In 2023\, at Springville Center for the Arts\, Koury’s plein air paintings inspired by Emery Park’s old-growth forest were highlighted in a two-person exhibition\, Whose Woods These Are. She has exhibited her paintings in solo and group shows and won awards\, including being a finalist in the Chautauqua Annual Exhibition of Contemporary Art. Her art is featured in the NFWS Mary Whyte Gallery Walk video\, George Washington’s Mount Vernon Visitor Center\, and Yuma Regional Medical Center in Arizona. Her illustrations appear in many children’s books and volumes for adults. She is a member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and a signature member of the Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society. She holds degrees in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University\, Virginia\, and Art Center College of Design\, California. \n  \nSupplies for participants to bring: \n\nPlease bring a sample of your garden’s bounty to share and inspire the class.\nBring a photo reference if you require it.\nDrawing paper\, graphite pencils\, erasers\, and transfer/tracing paper\nPalette\, your favorite brushes and water container\nWatermedia paints of your choice\n100% Rag Paper or water board\, and backing board or table easel\n\nFor further information\, please contact Kathy Shiroki
