We are opening up the Botanical Gardens for the public to take family photos\, engagement shoots\, senior portraits\, maternity photos\, baby photos or photos of any special occasion at a reduced rate.\n\nOur Photography Policy (below) will apply during your reservation. Please keep in mind that Photography Nights provide a shared space and you must be respectful of other guests.\n\n\nKEEP IN MIND! As the sun begins to set in the fall and winter\, the Botanical Gardens conservatory will also lose daylight as we are an open glass greenhouse. Participants are invited to take a closer look at the museum’s collection and AKG Public Art Initiative as they select their tableaux. We are excited to see the community’s interpretation of our works! \nMore than $4\,000 in prizes will be awarded to the creators of winning tableaux. Local judges will select the Judges’ Choice\, Best Craftsmanship\, and Most Creative Entry. Each story is graphically depicted in a huge chalk mural inside the silo. \nThe Evil Stories\n\nCostumed guides will bring to life the deadly and amazing stories spanning more than 350 years of local history during this 50 minute indoor walking tour. DESCRIPTION:Cosplay Photo Night\n\nOctober 27\, 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm\nCost: $30\n\nCalling all Cosplayers and Photographers! We welcome you to an evening where cosplayers and photographers join forces to create some magic inside our lush Botanical Gardens. Dress to impress and bring your most creative ideas and photographers and use our beautiful conservatory as your canvas. The event will take place from 4pm to 9pm and will give you opportunity for both daytime photos and evening photos with special lighting effects. Our newest exhibit\, Mutation Invasion: Flesh-eating Flora will make for an even more interesting backdrop filled with carnivorous plants and mutated plant sculptures. Food and beverage from the Grazeful Gatherer and the Buffalo Bubble Bar will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to explore the conservatory in between photoshoots\, connect and socialize\, and enjoy the food and beverages. \nGuidelines and Photography Policy:\n\nCostume changes are permitted\, but must be done so in the restrooms.\nSmall props are permitted but must remain with you and your party at all times.\nTripods are permitted during this special night only.\nBe mindful of you and the guests around you. Pathways must remain clear and open and all spaces must be shared.\nPets are not permitted.\nFurniture and large props are not permitted.\nWe do not allow drone photography inside.\nThe Botanical Gardens’ plants\, arrangements\, exhibits\, benches\, chairs\, tables\, signage etc. are not to be moved\, walked on\, or disturbed in any way. Any destruction will be at the cost of the guest.\nWe reserve the right to ask anyone who appears to be intoxicated to leave without a refund.\nSome exhibits or special events may be taking place on the day of your reservation; therefore\, some rooms may be unavailable or altered.
