Meet the many species of penguins that waddle and swim through the freezing water\, along with an abundance of other life\, on a journey south with quantitative ecologist Dr. Heather Lynch. \nAbout Dr. Heather Lynch  \nDr. Heather Lynch is a quantitative ecologist\, dedicated to understanding the population dynamics of Antarctic wildlife\, with a particular focus on Antarctic penguins. She has more than a decade of field experience on the continent. She is an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University with a joint appointment in the Department of Ecology & Evolution and the Institute for Advanced Computational Science. Lynch serves as the principal investigator for a large\, multi-institution National Science Foundation award. She received an NSF CAREER Award for her work on the spatial dynamics of Antarctic penguins and was elected an early career fellow of the Ecological Society of America. Lynch has an A.B. in Physics from Princeton University\, an M.A. in Physics from Harvard University\, and a Ph.D. in organismic and evolutionary biology from Harvard University.

Among the equally hilarious and tragic twelve characters\, you’ll meet Rooftop\, a chronically unfaithful but otherwise popular Los Angeles DJ\, looking to reconcile with the love of his life; Pinky and Edwin\, two brothers tragically linked forever; and the outrageously angry Norca\, who doesn’t let the fact that she slept with her best friend’s husband deter her from the full expectation of being immediately forgiven of her sin by her best friend\, Inez\, still in pain fifteen years later. The rest of the crowd in this dark\, insightful\, and very funny comedy inevitably square off on each other\, motivated by rage\, pain\, and a scary desire to come clean—perhaps for the first time.

Her other Netflix specials include Unveiled\, War Paint\, Freezing Hot\, Confirmed Kills\, and Elder Millennial. In 2019\, Shlesinger released Iliza Shlesinger: Over & Over\, her “fan-u-mentary\,” which gave fans an inside look into what goes into the making of one of her specials. This fall Iliza taped her upcoming stand-up special for Amazon Prime at the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City\, which will be released in early 2025. \nIn addition to her stand-up\, Iliza has appeared on the big and small screen.
