Mortalis Brewing Co.

Avon Brewery Bringing Brewing back to Niagara Street

Check out the latest addition to Niagara Street: Mortalis Brewing Company! With the closure of Resurgence Brewing Co, Mortalis has filled the brewery void and is already making waves in the craft beer scene. Owned by Paul and Gretchen Grenier, Jason Keifer, Josh Bauerlein, and Dave and Missy Luckenbach, Mortalis is known for its exceptional brews and now has a tasting room in Buffalo, alongside its locations in Avon and Downtown Rochester.

The brewery recently held a beer release event that drew a crowd of enthusiastic beer lovers, with 40 people patiently waiting in line to get their hands on the highly sought-after Green Wax, an Imperial Stout aged in a Willet Family Estate Bourbon barrel for 16 months. If you’re a fan of barrel-aged beers, you’re in luck because Mortalis hosts a monthly barrel-aged release at their Niagara Street taproom, offering a curated selection of brews from their 24 taps.

But Mortalis isn’t the only gem on Niagara Street. Illumination Meadery, located in the same building as the brewery, adds another layer of sweetness to the mix. Together, they create a unique hub for beer and mead enthusiasts alike.

Looking to be a part of the thriving business scene on Niagara Street? Bill Breeser, the owner of buildings along the street, still has plenty of space available for entrepreneurs looking to bring their dreams to life. With flexible options ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 square feet, Breeser’s buildings offer the perfect opportunity to join the West Side’s growing momentum.

Don’t miss out on experiencing the vibrant atmosphere and top-notch brews that Mortalis Brewing Company and the surrounding businesses bring to Niagara Street. Cheers to the continued success and growth of this exciting neighborhood!
