About Pizzeria Florian

Pizzeria Florian began as a boutique catering venture founded by veteran restaurateurs Jay Langfelder and Amanda Jones. Offering a unique culinary experience, the pizzeria combines contemporary Neapolitan pizza with flavors inspired by Italy and New York, all while emphasizing the use of local, seasonal produce. All catering dishes are crafted in a 900-degree mobile wood-fired oven, adding a distinct touch to their offerings.

In February 2024, Langfelder and Jones expanded their business to include a restaurant located at 650 Main Street, East Aurora. While the pizza served at the restaurant draws influence from traditional Italian pizza, they recognized the demand for a versatile pizza that patrons would enjoy dining in or taking out in a box. This realization led them to develop a signature style of pizza inspired by the best elements of New York, New Haven, Naples, and Rome.

The duo are the former founders of the O.G. Wood Fire Food Truck and Jay’s Artisan Pizzeria. Over the years, their culinary concepts have been celebrated in notable publications and platforms such as PMQ, Pizza Today, Women in Pizza, The Daily Meal, 50 Top Pizza, and CBS Saturday Mornings’ The Dish, among others.

With over three decades of experience in the restaurant industry, Langfelder and Jones have catered events of various scales, ranging from intimate gatherings of 10 to extravagant celebrations with 400 guests. Their expertise also earned them the honor of preparing pizza for the wedding of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck in 2022.
