Musicology Trivia Game Rules

General Rules

• No Phones: Put away all phones and smart devices, no cheating allowed!

Overview

The game consists of 2 main rounds, a mid-game video bonus, and 2 final bonus questions.

Round 1

Format: Teams will be presented with 3 categories, with 2 questions each.

Double Points: Each team selects 1 category to be worth double points before questions begin.

Scoring:

• Regular Questions: 5 points
• Doubled Category: 10 points per question

Mid-Game Bonus (Between Rounds 1 & 2)

Task: Watch a soundless video and name the band shown.

Scoring: 15 points

Round 2

Format: Same structure as Round 1 (3 categories, 2 questions each; 1 category chosen for double points).

Scoring:

• Regular Questions: 10 points
• Doubled Category: 20 points per question

Any Round With a List Question

There will be a question with numerous answers, and the teams will have 90 seconds to come up with as many answers as they can. Each correct answer earns 2 points, and the team with the most correct answers gets 10 additional bonus points. The most must be undisputed, no ties or bonus points in case of a tie.

Final Bonus Round

Format: 2 General Knowledge questions.

Scoring: 20 points each
