Dave’s Early Buffalo Beginnings

Dave Levinthal is a Buffalo born native who is currently one of the nation’s leading journalists investigating the politics, policy, and power of the United States.

He had an early introduction to journalism when he was 10 years old. He worked for the Buffalo News and had his own paper route. One day he decided to read the headlines of the newspapers he was handing out and became intrigued. He then started to write a newsletter for his youth soccer team that led him to his dream of becoming a journalist.

After graduating high school, he pursued degrees in newspaper journalism and political philosophy at Syracuse University. While attending, he was editor-in-chief for the Daily Orange.

The Road to Washington, D.C.

Since graduating Syracuse University, Dave has gone on to do amazing things in Washington, D.C. He was editor-in-chief for Raw Story’s newsroom and a deputy editor for Business Insider. He is most notable for working for the Center of Public Integrity.

The Center of Public Integrity is a non-for-profit newsroom that dedicates themselves to investigating inequity and holding powerful interests accountable. Their goal is to alert readers of inequity and threats to the democracy of the United States and encourage them to take action. Dave prides himself on working towards creating an equal democracy for the United States.

Awards Throughout His Career

Dave has been commended with numerous awards throughout his career as a journalist. Some of these awards include the Goldsmith Prize, Fair Media Council Folio Award, Excellence in Financial Journalism award and Radio Television Digital News Association Kaleidoscope Award, and many more.

Dave has offered his professional analyses on many television, radio, and podcasts such as NBC, CBS, ABC, FoxNews, and SiriusXM Radio. He is also a contributing news analyst for CenterClip and publishes on Substack.
