43North Event – Live Business Competition

Buffalo’s biggest business night of the year! 43North was founded upon Buffalo’s entrepreneurial spirit, and the investment competition began in 2014. Finals were hosted last Thursday night, October 12, 2023 for the competition’s ninth year. Hosted at Shea’s Performing Art Center, companies go head to head for a chance to win a $1 million check along with support and space to build their business right here in the Queen city.

The competition this year was fierce. Eight finalists had two minutes to pitch their idea to judges, and a packed house with over 3,000 folks in the audience. Five companies were named as winners during the thrilling shark tank-style event that happens live on stage.

From athletics, to electrical equipment, and fintech development – the top five winners were welcomed into the city’s community last week. A local Rock ‘n Soul band, Farrow was showcased live for the second year in a row.
