Tara Nahabetian

Tara Nahabetian, the head of the Metals/Jewelry program at SUNY Buffalo State, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1992. She pursued post-undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Hiroko Sato Pijanowski from 1992 to 1994. In 1997, she completed her Master of Fine Arts at Kent State University.

In addition to her national exhibitions, Nahabetian’s artwork has been featured in renowned publications such as “The Compendium Finale of Contemporary Jewelery” by Darling Publications in Munich, Germany, as well as several Lark Book Publications, including “Fabulous Jewelry from Found Objects”, “1000 Rings”, and “500 Metal Vessels”. Notably, her work is showcased in the permanent collections of Grand Valley State University and Bowling Green State University.
