The Buffalo Fire Museum is a one-of-a-kind destination dedicated to honoring the history and heroism of the firefighting profession while promoting fire safety and prevention. Operated entirely by volunteers and supported through generous donations, the museum thrives under the guidance of an 11-member elected board, including a president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. With no paid staff, every aspect of the museum is a labor of dedication and community commitment.
The museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, and showcase firefighting artifacts and information, providing visitors with a deeper appreciation of the profession’s rich history and its critical role in safeguarding lives. Through interactive exhibits and educational programs, the Buffalo Fire Museum engages and educates the public on fire safety, prevention practices, and the evolution of firefighting.
Open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and available by appointment for group visits, the museum offers free admission, ensuring accessibility for everyone. Visitors are invited to explore this unique space and connect with the incredible legacy of firefighters.
