Stephen F. Saracino

For 30 years, the master metalworker Stephen Saracino has worn multiple hats: as a juror, educator, and exhibiting artist. His narrative pieces, often infused with satire, reflect personal and political concerns. With over 50 exhibitions to his credit in the United States and Japan, Saracino’s work has garnered recognition.

As a professor in the Design Department at Buffalo State College, his contributions extend to the esteemed Burchfield Penney’s collection. In 2011, he participated in the renowned Counterflux: Defensive Ornament exhibition at the G. Gibson Gallery in Seattle, Washington. Additionally, he was prominently featured in Humor in Craft and ENOUGH Violence: Artists Speak Out, both organized by the Society for Contemporary Craft. Clearly, Saracino’s talent extends beyond his own creations; he served as a juror for the distinguished Burchfield Penney’s Art in Craft Media exhibition in 2013.
