Jane Stoddard

Jane Stoddard discovered her passion for drawing at a young age, with dreams of becoming a fashion illustrator. However, circumstances prevented her from attending Pratt Institute in New York. Despite this setback, she pursued her love for art while working as an office manager for an internal medicine practice.

In 1985, Jane decided to elevate her artistic skills and joined a local art society. After attending workshops with renowned watercolorists, she transitioned from oils to watercolor. Jane’s work evolved into a detailed approach, using transparent color for layering and glazing.

Throughout her journey, Jane has been recognized by numerous national and regional shows, and is a signature member of sixteen national watercolor societies. She has received prestigious awards, including the Watercolor Medal of Honor at the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club.

Jane’s greatest passion is bringing joy to those who appreciate and collect her artwork.
