#OnThisDay In 1987, The Goo Goo Dolls release their debut studio album, “Goo Goo Dolls” through smaller label Mercenary, eventually being picked up by Celluloid Records. Their first album has a distinctly different sound then their most popular music, with their debut drawing clear influences from hardcord punk rock. Most notably, the first album featured co-founder and bassist Robby Takac as the lead vocalist.

Do you have any memories when this album came out? Did you get a chance to see them perform in their early days?
