#OnThisDay In 2012, Nik Wallenda crosses the Niagara Falls on tightrope. He was the 12th person to ever cross the falls on tightrope but the very first to cross directly over the Falls. The feat of crossing the Falls hadn’t been attempted for over a century. Wallenda is a member of the world-famous acrobatic family, The Flying Wallendas.
