#OnThisDay In 1885, the cornerstone of the 74th Regiment Armory is laid. The building was designed by Louise Bethune, the architect of the Lafayette Hotel and Buffalo Public School #8. Eventually, the building became known as City Convention Hall and finally known as Elmwood Music Hall. The building was closed down and demolished in 1938, following a condemnment from the city after declaring the building and its roof were unstable and unsafe.

Are you familiar with this former building?
