About Suzie Plakson

Suzie Plakson, born on June 3, 1958, in Buffalo, New York, is a versatile American actress, singer, writer, and artist. She grew up in Kingston, Pennsylvania, and studied at Northwestern University. Plakson began her career in theater, notably playing four characters opposite Anthony Newley in a revival tour of Stop the World, I Want to Get Off and portraying “Marquise Theresa Du Parc” in the Broadway production of La Bête.

Her television career includes a prominent role as sportswriter Meg Tynan in the sitcom Love & War (1992). Plakson also voiced several characters on Dinosaurs (1991) and appeared in multiple roles across the Star Trek series: Vulcan Lieutenant Selar and Klingon K’Ehleyr on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), the female Q on Star Trek: Voyager(1995), and Tarah, the first female Andorian, on Star Trek: Enterprise (2001). Her film credits include Disclosure (1994), Red Eye (2005), and Wag the Dog (1997).

In addition to her acting career, Plakson is a singer/songwriter who released the alternative country rock album DidnWannaDoIt!, produced by Jay Ferguson. She is also a sculptor and writer, with samples of her work available on her website. Plakson performed an allegorical solo show titled An Evening with Eve. Notably, she is the only actress to appear as four different aliens across three different Star Trek series, though actor Jeffrey Combs holds the record for portraying six different aliens across three series.
