#OnThisDay In 1856, Architect Louis Sullivan is born in Boston, Massachusetts. The Guaranty Building in Buffalo was designed by Suliivan and is one of the best architectural marvels of the city. Suillivan is also known by some as the “father of skyscrapers” and was also a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright.
