Hawk Creek, founded in 1987, operates as one of the largest raptor centers in the East, made possible by the generous support of the community. Its donors, volunteers, education programs, symbolic adoption program, grants, and Erie County funding are essential to its mission. Located in West Falls, New York, the Center boasts a diverse collection of global raptors and wildcats. It offers engaging experiences through flying bird shows and animal interactions for various audiences. Through outstanding education programs, Hawk Creek fosters respect for nature, promotes stewardship of the planet, and supports endangered species through collaborative partnerships and breeding programs. Its efforts have earned international awards, including recognition by National Geographic.

The Center is dedicated to giving animals a second chance, caring for over 100 permanent residents, and reaching thousands of people annually through exciting educational programming. Hawk Creek’s contributions have been showcased on PBS, and it has been honored as a “Blue Planet Hero” by National Geographic. Its animal ambassadors and naturalists have appeared on programs such as Rachael Ray and NBC Today.
The Center offers inspirational experiences for schools, libraries, day care centers, assisted living facilities, corporate events, community festivals, private parties, and weddings. Over 100 resident animals call Hawk Creek home, each with a story to share. Visitors can learn about them through private tours or animal experiences, with discounts available for combined bookings. Hawk Creek’s naturalists regularly appear at conventions and large public gatherings, including Princess Cruise lines, The Central Park Conservancy, and the World Science Festival.
