On This Day…

In 1912, Hutchinson Technical High School’s cornerstone is laid. Previously known as Mechanics Arts High School at its founding in 1904, it opened at this location on Cedar and Clinton Street in 1918 as “Technical School of Buffalo”. It continued there until 1954, when they moved to South Elmwood, into the former Hutchinson Central High School. School 87 is currently in the Clinton St. building.
