#OnThisDay In 1896, the Pan-American Exposition is proposed in print for the 1st time. Originally, it was supposed to occur in 1899 but ended up occuring in 1901. It was held on the edge of Delaware Park, going from Delaware & Elmwood down to Great Arrow. It showed off the technological adanvaces of the time, most notably electricity.

The Pan-American Exposition is a large part of Buffalo’s storied past, serving as a reminder to the population and industrial wear-withall of Buffalo at the time.
