On This Day…
In 2009, Colgan Flight 3407 crash lands into a home in Clarence, New York. Tragically, all 49 people on board and one person on the ground were killed. The calamity led to sweeping rule changes for pilots by the Federal Aviation Administration. There are two memorials honoring the lives lost, one at the crash site and another at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
