On This Day…
In 1993, L7 and Kyuss perform at the former Scrapyard at 1184 Main Street. Both of these bands are pioneers of their respective genres, with L& spearheading the feminist punk movement known as “Riot Grrrl”, and Kyuss helping found the heavy “Stoner Rock”. I was unable to find any photos of The Scrapyard so the background is the empty lot that was there in 2011. It is now one of those developer mixed-use conglomerate buildings.
