About Nickel City Canine Rescue

Nickel City Canine Rescue (NCCR) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in Buffalo, NY. Established in 2018, NCCR is dedicated to rescuing displaced and unwanted dogs at risk of euthanasia, providing them with stable care, basic needs, and love. Operating as an all-breed rescue, they accept dogs of all ages and health conditions, including puppies, seniors, and those needing medical treatment. The organization rescues dogs from high-kill shelters across the southern United States, as well as local owner surrenders and shelters, with the goal of matching them with loving, safe, forever homes.

NCCR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies entirely on community donations to support its mission. All funds raised go directly toward the rescue, rehabilitation, and medical care of the dogs in their care. The organization is also committed to reducing the unwanted pet population by spaying and neutering every dog that comes through their rescue, ensuring healthier lives for the animals and fewer strays in the community.

As a foster-based rescue, NCCR does not have a physical facility open to the public. For inquiries, adoptions, or to get involved, individuals can contact them via email at info@nickelcitycaninerescue.org or by phone at (716) 444-7711. Their mailing address is 5635 Harris Hill Road, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221. Hours are flexible based on volunteer availability, so prospective adopters or supporters are encouraged to reach out during regular business hours to connect with the organization.
