About Westside Cat Rescue

West Side Cat Rescue (WSCR) is a grassroots, volunteer-run nonprofit organization based in Buffalo, NY. Founded in 2016 by Jamie Mulligan, WSCR began with the rescue of an abandoned kitten named Lilly and has since grown into a dedicated team committed to the humane and compassionate treatment of cats. The organization focuses on rescuing stray and feral cats, providing medical care, and facilitating adoptions into permanent homes. In addition to adoption services, WSCR educates the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, responsible pet ownership, and supports feral colony caregivers through food and shelter provisions.

WSCR operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and relies heavily on community support, including donations and volunteers, to carry out its mission. The organization is dedicated to enriching the lives of cats, from strays to those in permanent homes, by providing compassionate care and advocating for their well-being. All efforts are focused on ensuring that rescued cats are healthy, safe, and placed in loving, permanent homes.

As WSCR operates primarily through foster homes, it does not have a public facility. For inquiries, adoptions, or to get involved, people can contact them via phone at (716) 536-3236 or email at westsidecatrescue@gmail.com. Their mailing address is P.O. Box 1087, Buffalo, NY 14213. Prospective adopters and supporters are encouraged to reach out by phone or email for information, appointments, or volunteer opportunities.
