#OnThisDay In 1970, a Domed stadium to accommodate Bills, Sabres and Bisons is announced to be built in Lancaster. Unfortunately, the project was doomed from the beginning, coming in with over-budget buds. Buffalo Bills owner threatened Erie County to move the team, which led to Rich Stadium to be built in 1973. This caused mixed-use probability for a stadium in Buffalo to plummet. This partially caused Buffalo’s bid in the MLB’s expansion draft to fall through. Do you remember when this plan was announced?
