#OnThisDay In 1935, Bell Aircraft is founded by Lawrence D. Bell. Bell moved into the former Curtiss-Wright factory. Bell Aircraft later moved to Niagara Falls/Wheatfield area, situtated right next to Niagara Fall’s airport, where the empty complex still stands. In 1941, Bell employed 36,000 people for WWII. Bell built many aeronautical machines from war planes to helicopters. Bell eventually relocated to Texas in the 1960s for multiple reasons. Do you remember when Bell Aircraft was here?
