Once known as The Hydraulics and home to The Larkin Soap Company, today’s Larkinville is a thriving district encompassing commercial office space, residential areas, restaurants, retail, and manufacturing facilities.
A New Beginning
Larkin Development Group has spearheaded the transformation of Larkinville, with Larkin Square standing as a testament to their efforts. Opened in June 2012 on the former site of the Larkin Soap Company warehouse buildings, Larkin Square is owned and operated by Larkin Development Group. The square is characterized by its colorful furniture and whimsical architecture, creating a lively atmosphere where community members gather for food, music, and fun. Visitors can relax in the inviting space or partake in activities such as pickleball.
Larkin Square comes to life with a variety of family-friendly events, including the popular Food Truck Tuesday, KeyBank Live at Larkin concerts, local markets, and the Larkin Square Author Series. These free events, presented by KeyBank and sponsored by Independent Health, attract locals and visitors alike, eager to experience the revitalized neighborhood and enjoy outdoor activities.
Adjacent to Larkin Square are the Larkin U Building and the Larkin at Exchange Building. These Class A commercial buildings house numerous businesses and offer public amenities such as a KeyBank branch, cafeteria, and Tim Hortons on their first floors.
Larkin Square stands out as one of the most unique and engaging spaces in Western New York, offering something for everyone, from historical charm to modern-day excitement.

KeyBank Live at Larkin
Each week features a signature local band along with food and drinks. Featured food will include a curated selection of food trucks along with cans of beer, wine and cocktails available for purchase.
Fitness in the Parks
For the 2024 season, Fitness in the Parks will be in Larkin Square starting June 3rd. Enjoy Saturdays at 9:30 AM with ZUMBA® and Mondays at 5:30 PM with ZUMBA®. All are welcome, no reservations needed.
Larkin Square Authors & Speakers

Pickle Ball
Larkin Square is home to two pickleball courts. Bring your own paddles and balls. Courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Planting Society
The Plating Society offers private dining experiences, take-out, meal prep, cooking classes, pop-up dinners and catering. The Boutique is a unique space for all chef services. The space is also available for product shoots and filming.
