Once known as The Hydraulics and home to The Larkin Soap Company, today’s Larkinville is a thriving district encompassing commercial office space, residential areas, restaurants, retail, and manufacturing facilities.

A New Beginning

Larkin Development Group has spearheaded the transformation of Larkinville, with Larkin Square standing as a testament to their efforts. Opened in June 2012 on the former site of the Larkin Soap Company warehouse buildings, Larkin Square is owned and operated by Larkin Development Group. The square is characterized by its colorful furniture and whimsical architecture, creating a lively atmosphere where community members gather for food, music, and fun. Visitors can relax in the inviting space or partake in activities such as pickleball.

Larkin Square comes to life with a variety of family-friendly events, including the popular Food Truck Tuesday, KeyBank Live at Larkin concerts, local markets, and the Larkin Square Author Series. These free events, presented by KeyBank and sponsored by Independent Health, attract locals and visitors alike, eager to experience the revitalized neighborhood and enjoy outdoor activities.

Adjacent to Larkin Square are the Larkin U Building and the Larkin at Exchange Building. These Class A commercial buildings house numerous businesses and offer public amenities such as a KeyBank branch, cafeteria, and Tim Hortons on their first floors.
