#OnThisDay In 1892, Larkin Soap Company is incorporated. Founded in 1875, the company grew quickly due to John Larkin, Darwin D. Martin and Elbert Hubbard (who eventually became the founder of Roycroft). They built a large factory and complex, even commissioning Frank Lloyd Wright as the architect of the Adminstrative Building. Unfortunately, the Larkin Admin building was demolished in 1950.
