#OnThisDay In 1904, Buffalo’s first automobile race takes place. The race took place at the former Kenilworth Park, which was located at the corner of Kenmore Ave. and Niagara Falls Blvd.

Actually three days later, Buffalo mayor F.L. Alliger is credited with a 2-mile win at Kenilworth. The track was mainly used for horse racing and was closed down in 1908, after laws around gambling became stricter.
