#OnThisDay In 1923, Babe Ruth visits Buffalo. Ruth was in Buffalo for an exhibition game of the Yankees against the Buffalo Bisons. During the match, Ruth was outstanding, going 4-for-4 with one home run, two deep doubles and a single.
Notably, this was not the Bambino’s first time in Buffalo. Babe Ruth had come to Buffalo back in 1920 as a part of his many “barnstorming” tours. Ruth played for the local team “Polish Nationals” back in 1920.
