#OnThisDay In 1911, Lucille Ball is born in Jamestown, New York. Ball gained massive fame for her role on the show “I Love Lucy”.
Jamestown, just an hour out of Buffalo, now houses the National Comedy Center as well as The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, which would simply not exist without Ball’s contributions to the screen and comedy as a whole. Each year, the National Comedy Center and Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum puts on the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival.
