#OnThisDay In 1979, the Buffalo Stallions, the first major Indoor Soccer League expansion team, play their first game afainst the Philadelphia Fever. The Stallions went on to win the game 9 to 3, with over 11,0000 people in attendaance for the team’s debut. The Stallions played until 1984, folding after the season. The MISL did not last long but professional indoor soccer did return to Buffalo in 1992, with the Buffalo Blizzard.
