#OnThisDay In 1898, St. Mary School for the Deaf main building is dedicated by Bishop Quigley. At the time, it was known as the Deaf Mute Institute and moved from Edward Street to its current home on Main Street. The building is in a Roman-Revival style. In 1936, they changed their name to its current iteration. It’s the longest continually operated institution in the Parkside Neighborhood.

Have you ever seen this beautiful building?
