#OnThisDay Artpark is dedicated. Artpark was established by New York State Parks and a non-profit named Artpark & Company to serve as a permanent home for outdoor art installations and live performances. At the time it opened, its main stage was one of the biggest in the entire state. The venue has hosted such legendary names as Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie to Ella Fitzgerald and Gladys Knight.
