#OnThisDay Buffalo’s first Porchfest is held. Originally, the idea was suggested by a reader of Buffalo Rising following their attendance of a “porch fest” in Massachusetts. The event was basically an instant success and hit.
It is still held in Buffalo’s West Side and Elmwood Village, becoming larger each year! It now occurs in Spring, on every 3rd Saturday of May.
