#OnThisDay In 1894, the 20th Century Club is founded. It was founded by Charlotte Mulligan and was part of the national women’s club movement. The club seeked to provide a space for women to freely express themselves and built relationships. The club’s headquarters is a beautiful compound designed by E.B. Green and Wicks, located on Delaware Avenue. The club’s headquarters was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
