#OnThisDay In 1929, Ground is broken on Buffalo’s City Hall. The building was completed in November of 1931, designed by George Dietel and John Wade. City Hall is considered an Art Deco masterpiece adorned with its skylights, murals depicting the city’s history and an observation tower that overlooks the city and Lake Erie.
