#OnThisDay In 2001, Snow begins to fall over WNY and Southern Ontario. Just the week before, the weather was mild and rainy, looking like it would be Buffalo’s warmest December. That was until this storm hit. Snow continued to fall for 5 days, dropping a staggering 82″ inches., becomging Buffalo’s snowiest month ever. Forgotten Buffalo’s blurb said this about the storm: “This storm afforded me a great opportunity to ‘pub hop’ on Abbott Road as hundreds of people partied into the night as a cure for “cabin fever”. Do you remember when this storm hit Buffalo? #BlizzardOf2001 #BuffaloBlizzards #716 #buffalo716 #BuffaloHistoryChannel #Buffalo #BornBuffalo #History #WNY
