#OnThisDay In 1910, Buffalo Aero Club sponsors first-manned flight in Buffalo. The Aero Club had converted part of Buffalo Country Club’s polo field in an airstrip to be able to host the flight. Alexander Pfitzner, a Hungarian engineer for Buffalo Industrialist Glenn Curtiss, manned the aircraft.
