He first rose to fame with his role as Angel, the brooding vampire-turned-private investigator, on the popular supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003). This role became so iconic that it led to a successful spinoff series, Angel (1999–2004), where Boreanaz continued to captivate audiences with his complex character.

Following his success in the supernatural genre, Boreanaz transitioned to a more grounded role as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth on the Fox television series Bones (2005–2017). In this crime procedural comedy-drama, he played a dedicated homicide investigator who solved cases with his forensic anthropologist partner, creating one of television’s most beloved duos.

In recent years, Boreanaz has taken on a new challenge, portraying United States Navy SEAL Master Chief Special Warfare Operator Jason Hayes in the CBS/Paramount+ military drama series SEAL Team (2017–present).
