#OnThisDay In 1957, Erlanger Theatre, at 120 Delaware, is solid to Darwin R. Martin, son of Darwin D. Martin. Martin gutted the interior, converting it for commercial use, which it would be used as for years. Erlanger Theatre was originally built by Statler Hotels in 1927 and leased to Abraham Erlanger. Unfortunately, in 2005 it was acquired by federal government and demolished in 2007. The Robert H. Jackson Courthouse was built on its former site, completed in 2011. Did you ever get to go into the Erlanger Theatre? Do you remember when it was demolished?
