On the heels of sold-out shows in and around their home base of Rochester, New York, Eric Carlin’s Half-Dead brings their authentic Grateful Dead concert experience to Buffalo Iron Works on Thursday, January 4. No “close enough” renditions here. Eric and company dive deep into sonic detail to deliver accurate, dynamic performances of hallmark sets from the ‘70s and ‘80s.
Highlighted by Eric’s masterful channeling of Jerry Garcia’s musical vocabulary and guitar tone, Half-Dead has it all: tight three-part harmonies (got Donna? yep!), uniquely Bobby rhythm guitar, Phil bombs, a rainbow palette of keyboard stylings, devilish drumming, and all-out jams that soar and careen but never lose focus.
Fueling it all is an undying passion for the music.
