For the third year in a row, we will be celebrating the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, a joyous marriage of scripture and song, in the Basilica
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates back to the late 19th century. In it, nine Scripture lessons are included that recount the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each is then followed by a carol/song that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer.
