Do you want to see more birds in your backyard? This workshop will help you identify some of the birds that are most likely to be seen in our area and discuss ways to attract birds into your space. Topics will include gardening for birds, types of bird feeders, and varieties of food that can be offered. You will also create a simple feeder to take home for your backyard feathered friends. This class is perfect for beginning birders or anyone who’d like to learn more about our local birds.

Joyce Sabuda

Joyce Sabuda is an Educator and Program Assistant here at the Botanical Gardens. Prior to retiring from public education, she worked locally as a devoted elementary school teacher for 34 years. Joyce lived in South Buffalo as a child and developed a love for the Botanical Gardens at an early age. After retirement, it was only natural that she join our team as an educator to share this local treasure with visitors! She is an avid birder and traveler and enjoys gardening and reading in her spare time. Joyce is excited to be back in the classroom to inspire curiosity and share her knowledge with students of all ages!
