#OnThisDay In 1863, The Assassin of Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, appears in a performance of “Hamlet” at the Metropolitan Theatre, which used to be located at 193 Main Street. At the time his brother, Edwin Booth, was one of the most successful actors of the time period.
