#OnThisDay In 1913, The First Women’s Suffrage Parade in Buffalo was held. The parade signified the demand that voting is a citizen’s right, despite gender for women not only in New York, but across the country. The parade continued to happen each year in June until women gained the right to vote in New York in 1917.
