#OnThisDay In 1881, The Brush Electric Light Company is incorporated. Later that year, in July the Brush Company installed Buffalo’s first electric plant on Ganson Street.
The Brush Electric Light Company was a pioneer of arc lamps and many claim that the Brush comapany had created the first electrically lit street in the country with their electricity and lights.
