Rick James is arguably the greatest musician from Buffalo, from having early success with his local band, Stone City Band to his solo career with popular hits like “Super Freak”, “Give It To Me Baby” & “Mary Jane”. James truly gave his life to music, producing for and uplifting artists such as Teena Marie, Mary Jane Girls and even Eddie Murphy. He passed away in 2004 and is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
