About Westside Stories

Westside Stories, a cherished used bookstore in Buffalo, NY, first opened its doors in 2011 at 205 Grant Street under the care of founders Joe and Jeanenne Petri. After nearly a decade of serving the west side community—and expanding their offerings with Gather & Game in 2019—the store faced challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, Kevin Christner stepped in and relocated the bookstore to its current home at 398 Grant Street. In October 2022, the store entered a new chapter when Keri Thomas-Whiteside and Bob Whiteside became its proud owners. Today, Westside Stories continues its mission to provide the neighborhood and Western New York with a thoughtfully curated selection of high-quality used books.
